19 year-old American model, Chanel Iman, has already achieved the title of fashion's newest "it girl" having graced the covers of Time Magazine Style & Design and Vogue, the youngest of 10 girls, the magazine anointed "The World's Next Top Models."

Chanel Iman was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 30, 1989. She grew up in Culver City, California and attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles; currently she is home schooled.

Chanel Iman began her career at the age of 13. She first strutted down the runway in Fall/Winter 2006 season for high-profile fashion designers Custo Barcelona and DKNY. Since then she has modelled for top fashion houses including Dolce & Gabbana ( Dolce & Gabbana handbags ), Issey Miyake ( Issey Miyake handbags ), Marc Jacobs ( Marc Jacobs handbags ), Valentino ( Valentino handbags ), Dsquared, Hermès ( Hermès handbags ), Michael Kors ( Michael Kors handbags ), Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren ( Ralph Lauren handbags ), Anna Sui, Diane von Fürstenberg, Vera Wang, Jean Paul Gaultier and Stella McCartney ( Stella McCartney handbags ) .

In her short career, fresh-faced Chanel Iman has also appeared in advertising campaigns for Bottega Veneta ( Bottega Veneta handbags ), GAP, Victoria's Secret Pink and United Colours of Benetton.

Chanel Iman appeared in the Spring 2007 issue of TIME Style & Design. In the May 2007 issue of US Vogue she was featured on the cover as the new crop of supermodels. Chanel also appeared on the cover of Teen Vogue in 2008.

On March 21, 2009, she began her duties as a correspondent as part of MTV's revival of the House of Style with Bar Refaeli.
