Jerry Hall to Star in New Chanel Ad Campaign

Karl Lagerfeld (Karl Lagerfeld handbags) will shoot a Chanel handbag campaign inspired by Colette's Chéri novel. The story is about the end of a six-year long affair between a young man and a woman almost twice his age. Italian model Baptiste Giabiconi will play the young man, and Jerry Hall will play the cougar. Giabiconi will appear "seeking her affections on a bed strewn with a quilt — and a quilted bag!" Baptiste Giabiconi has already worked with Chanel, appearing in the design house's mini-film for it's Paris-Moscown show.
Karl Lagerfeld has chosen many famous modes as well as celebrities for his campaigns. Among those were: Claudia Schiffer, Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley and now it is Jerry Hall who will be the face of Chanel. He is so wonderful,” Jerry Hall tells the Daily Telegraph. “It was the best experience I’ve had with a photographer for many years. I actually enjoyed myself. Well, I am past my prime, so it was a treat.”
