A native to New York City, Monica Botkier delved into the fashion industry in 2003. Before becoming internationally known as the accessories designer she is today, native New Yorker, Monica Botkier began her career in the fashion industry working as a photographer for several fashion magazines. Using her developed photographer’s eye for detail, artistry and key functionality, Monica took on a new niche in the fashion industry. Inspired by her urban chic and busy downtown Manhattan lifestyle, Monica designed and produced her first Botkier handbag collection that resulted in the immediate cult status.

Remaining true to her brand philosophy for creating the ideal, Monica fearlessly embarks on the bringing the brand to the next level, introducing custom materials, designs and tackling new markets. For Spring 2008, in celebration of Botkier’s five-year anniversary, and all of Monica’s accomplishments there within, the designer launched an extensive collection of footwear.
The Botkier brand has created several iconic styles such as the “Trigger” and “Sasha” that have been seen on the arms of celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan, Joy Bryant and Kate Bosworth.
Throughout the years, Monica has established a devoted fan base both in the US and around the world. The Botkier collections, consisting of approximately 40 different silhouettes per selling season, have continued success with respected stores such as Barney’s New York, Fred Segal, Harvey Nichols, and Neiman Marcus, as well as with prominent social, artistic and fashion icons.
Botkier has created a niche in the market where there was a void, and approachable designer brand. Our accessories embody luxury through custom detailing, innovation and quality while focusing on functionality. Reality for the modern woman.
