Kensington Gardens was once again scene to the A-list as they descended upon The Serpentine Gallery for the highlight of the British summer social calendar. Models Jacquetta Wheeler, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Erin O'Connor rubbed shoulders with socialites - Olivia Palermo, Marisa Montgomery and Dasha Zhukova - and the Who's Who of the London party scene, which last night included Jasmine Guinness, Roisin Murphy and Lauren Laverne.

Fashion-wise, Topshop was the outfitter of choice appearing on the fashionable forms of Poppy Delevigne, Jade Parfitt, Paloma Faith and Lily Collins among others.

Thandie Newton showed her fashion savoir faire by working spring/summer 2009’s pretty watercolour trend in a dress (with shoes and clutch, too), from Matthew Williamson's resort 2010 collection.

Jacquetta Wheeler went down a casual route with her zebra-striped playsuit. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley kept off the chill with a Topshop sequinned bolero over a fluid vintage dress. She blinged-up the look with Stephen Webster jewellery. Tess Daly was channelling this season’s lamé trend in a See By Chloe mini dress. Working next season’s pretty draping trend, Erin O’Connor wore a dress by Donna Karan. Jasmine Guinness stepped out in a pair of Sergio Rossi heels with her unseasonably wintry look. Poppy Delevigne wore an embellished dress and shoes by Topshop. Dressed head-to-toe in Dolce & Gabbana, Roisin Murphy was working next season’s bold shoulder trend. Jade Parfitt was another A-lister to opt for an outfit from Topshop for the evening. Making a statement in a pillarbox red dress and a Chanel handbag, Natalie Imbruglia was working the asymmetric trend. Actress Lily Collins went for a disco-ready dress and accessories by Topshop. In her white linen suit, Bianca Jagger brought back memories of her iconic Seventies white tuxedo wedding moment. Leah and Jo Wood made a stylish mother and daughter duo in matching hers-and-hers full-length dresses. Marisa Montgomery and Charlotte Dellal both wore dresses from Topshop for the glamorous event. Marisa accessorised her pistachio party frock with Christian Louboutin statement heels. Meg Matthews showed off her curves in an Antonio Berardi body con dress and carried a Chanel handbag. Manhattan socialite Olivia Palermo chose a Topshop statement jacket to wear over her bustier dress and futuristic shoes, which were also by Topshop. Patrick Cox brought a four-legged date to the party. Paloma Faith – one of the summer’s hottest music acts – wore a gold Topshop jacket over her vintage lace dress. Talulah Riley kept things simple in a monochrome outfit. Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's fashion pedigree was demonstrated in a Topshop embellished dress.
