Anya Hindmarch MBE (born 1968), is an English fashion accessories designer.

Anya Hindmarch started her business twenty years ago, at the age of nineteen when she was living in Florence. Recognizing what women need in a handbag, Anya noticed a trend amongst Florentine women, of a drawstring, leather duffel bag. Upon her return to England, she approached Harper’s & Queen, who commissioned her to design a bag for a special offer; five hundred were sold and the Anya Hindmarch brand was born.

Anya Hindmarch designs three collections each year. Alongside her mainline leather bags Anya also designs shoes, luggage, small leather goods, a beach collection and a small range of ready-to-wear.

In 1999 Anya Hindmarch launched Blue Label, a second line encapsulating the unmistakable touches of the brand DNA including humour and fun. The line is predominantly made up of photographic print bags and washbags.

Anya Hindmarch handbags are normally seen carring by celebrities like Claudia Schiffer and Reese Witherspo.

On Monday, 9th March, Anya Hindmarch opened three new luxurious concessions within House of Fraser at Westfield and Bluewater shopping centres along with their city store in London.  Concessions will be displaying current season collections including shoes and clothing.
