Lambertson Truex designs and markets fine handbags and accessories collected by the world's connoisseurs of luxury merchandise. Its global audience embraces the modern vision of our chic styling and classic elegance. Founded in 1998 by Richard Lambertson and John Truex, the company has quickly established itself as one of fashion's most original new voices. Following the success of its handbags, Lambertson Truex launched a women's shoe line, then completed the collection by introducing small leather goods, gloves, and belts. Due in part to the success of the women's line, Lambertson Truex then launched the same assortment of accessories for men.
Lambertson Truex strongly believes that texture is the soul of the accessory. Fine leathers in various finishes become the inspiration for new shapes. Each Lambertson Truex handbag is distinguished by its signature sky blue suede lining, which illuminates the interior of the bag. Every Lambertson Truex accessory is designed for modern life with great attention paid to the functional details of the bags. With this in mind, cell phone pockets and detachable key chains are discretely worked into the bags' interiors.
Building its collection around pristine design, exquisite materials, and a commitment to fine craftsmanship, Lambertson Truex has become a favorite of stylish individuals. Whether their taste is classic or unconventional, Lambertson Truex's customers are women and men who use luxury accessories to express their own independent "sense of chic". "Our line is about diversity. We want to give every kind of woman the opportunity to wear a beautiful bag, no matter where her lifestyle takes her," explains Truex. "If they are worn to the beach or a benefit, our accessories should augment a woman's personal style. Each woman who wears Lambertson Truex does so in her own, unique way."
Recognized for their expertise by the fashion industry, Richard Lambertson and John Truex were awarded the American Fashion Award for Accessory Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2000. In addition, the company was presented with the ACE Award for Best New Accessories Designer by the Accessories Council, also in 2000. In 1998 and 1999 Lambertson Truex was nominated for the Perry Ellis Award for Accessories.
In July 2006, Lambertson Truex partnered with Samsonite Group to help realize the brand's potential in becoming the definitive American luxury house. In May 2007, Lambertson Truex opened its first ever retail store, on Melrose Place in Los Angeles. In September of the same year, the flagship boutique on Madison Avenue in New York celebrated its opening. Lambertson Truex entered the Las Vegas retail market with the opening of its boutique, located in the Shoppes at the Palazzo, in March 2008.
