Vernon Bruce Hoeksema started off in fashion as a model. Before he started the line, he worked for Valentino for 25 years, negotiated the sale of which for £211 million in 1998 and finally left after the transition in 2000. In 2001, he filled a void in the luxury bag market at a time when everyone were using the same bags - the Gucci bags, LV bags and Prada bags.
